- Prioritise safety, wellbeing, and responsible cycling.
- Act in the best interests of Audax UK and its members.
2. Compliance with Policies and Regulations
- Comply fully with Audax UK’s Articles, Regulations, Policies, and Codes (including safeguarding, equality, data protection, and health and safety policies).
- Ensure events and activities are organised and delivered in accordance with Audax UK regulations and applicable policies and procedures.
3. Behaviour and Conduct
- Behave in a professional, courteous, and responsible manner at all times.
- Avoid abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or intimidating behaviour.
- Use appropriate language and conduct in all verbal, written, and digital communications.
- Actively discourage behaviour that undermines the values or reputation of Audax UK.
- Act impartially and avoid situations where personal interests could improperly influence decisions.
- Not use their position for personal gain or advantage.
4. Representation of Audax UK
- Represent Audax UK accurately, honestly, and positively.
- Avoid making public statements or commitments on behalf of Audax UK without appropriate authority.
- Clearly distinguish personal views from official Audax UK positions where relevant.
- Use Audax UK branding, materials, and communications in accordance with approved guidance.
5. Inclusivity, Equality, and Safeguarding
- Foster an inclusive environment free from discrimination or exclusion. Support equal participation regardless of age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or background.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and act promptly on any concerns, following Audax UK procedures.
6. Safety, Welfare, and Duty of Care
- Take reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of riders, volunteers, and the public.
- Promote responsible cycling, compliance with the law, and good relations with other road users.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, accidents, or welfare concerns.
7. Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Respect confidentiality and handle personal data in accordance with Audax UK policies and data protection legislation.
- Not misuse or disclose confidential information obtained through their role.
8. Breaches of the Code
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in action in accordance with Audax UK’s disciplinary procedures, which may include removal from a role, suspension, or other appropriate measures.
