Description

Tracing the path of England's first Saint and some notorious sinners, a simple route from St Albans to Bury St Edmunds and back.
Admin is simple, with a single control and no info quiz.
Start and finish at the Scout Hut, Sandridge near St Albans - a 15 mins train ride from central London.
We ride out through the Hertfordshire commuter towns and quickly reach rural lanes to take us into Essex and West Suffolk. The half way point, just short of Bury, is at the popular Maglia Rosso cycling café.
A single control makes for easy passage, however we strongly recommend riders take on additional fuel stops, options are marked on the route sheet and GPS file at Stansted Mountfitchet (44km) and Saffron Walden (155km).
Some complimentary refreshments and toilets available at the start/finish. Meals available to purchase at midway control.
