Paris-Brest-Paris Qualifying windows confirmed

We have now confirmed qualifying windows for UK entrants to PBP.

Entry requires cyclists to complete a Super Randonneur series of approved rides between late 2026 and June 2027. Importantly, the rides of 200, 300, 400 and 600km need to comply with the specific distance and pace rules for Brevets Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRM).

Qualifying events in the AUK calendar for the coming season will be clearly marked BRM[PBP] so that cyclists will be able to identify the rides which will enable them to sign up for PBP.

In order to support riders as they build their fitness, AUK is working with organisers to ensure that suitable events are available in a progressive sequence. By staggering the availability of rides, we are able to manage the volume of entrants and the additional administration involved in sending one of the largest non-French cohorts to Paris.

We are therefore organising the calendar of qualifying rides in the following sequence; although rides may be completed out of sequence they should ideally be ridden within the relevant date range:

  • 200km rides - January 2 to April 25
  • 300km rides - March 13 to May 23
  • 400km rides - April 10 to June 13
  • 600km rides - May 8 to June 27.

There will be some suitable BRM qualifying rides available outside these window to provide riders with a little flexibility. A hopeful rider can substitute a longer ride for a shorter one (e.g., riding an extra 400kn event instead of a 300km audax) but AUK is also trying to ensure that some shorter distance BRM events are available later in the qualifying period.

A list of available calendar qualifying events is being updated on the Audax UK website, with many already open for booking.

NB. Riders who complete a BRM ride of over 200km in the current season can also benefit from an early entry into PBP but will still need to complete a full SR series in the coming season.
