Brief Weald Excursion

120km cycling event starting from Streatham Common, London. Controls at Forest Row, Crowborough, Edenbridge and Streatham Common.

You can use E-Brevet proof of passage on this event.

A 120 km trip out to the High Weald for some choice climbs and scenery.

From a Scout hut start in South London it's a short run south to the start of the climbing. And then the climbing keeps going but with lovely views and rural lanes. There are 3 free controls requiring receipts from shops, cafés or pubs to keep you on track. On your arrival at the arrivee you'll be greeted with hot food, hot tea and cold beer. Entries close the evening before, no 'on the line' entry available. Counts towards the Grimpeurs du Sud award and qualifies for the Bronze Grimpeur Medal.

Any profits from the event will be donated to Cyclists Fighting Cancer (www.cyclistsfc.org.uk) who help children and young people living with cancer across the UK regain their physical fitness, improve mental wellness and reduce social isolation by giving them new lightweight bikes, specially adapted trikes, cycling related equipment and support.

NON-MEMBERS are welcome but need to register first. This is free - we ask you to do this so we can verify your contact details. You only need to register once and can then enter multiple events or in future convert to paid membership.

PARENTAL CONSENT is required for entrants under 18 years of age. This can be declared by the parent/guardian making an online entry on behalf of the under 18 rider. Otherwise, although an entry can be made online, the parent/guardian should complete and sign the parental consent form available here.
