Darts to the Northern Reunion

200km cycling event starting from Anywhere to Melrose.

Dart from home or place of choice to the Northern Reunion at The Waverley Castle Hotel, Melrose, Scottish Borders. Also able to be ridden Sat 21st October.

Darts are events for either individuals or teams. You ride to or from a designated meeting point. The meeting point in this case is the Waverley Castle Hotel, Melrose. 20th to 22nd October 2023
Rules:
1. Routes: You design your own route either to or from the reunion on one of the above dates. Plan your route using Google Maps set to ‘walking’ which will give you the minimum distance. The organiser will verify your proposed distance.

2. Speeds/distances: Your min/max speed on the Dart must be within 15-30kph and distances allowed up to 24hrs within these speed parameters. (Rides will be validated as Brevet Randonneur at or above 200km and Brevet Populaire below 200km)
3. Controls: You must obtain proof of passage at the starting point and each designated control in the form of a stamp/ATM or till receipt showing date/time and place.You must control approximately each 60km. You must also obtain proof of passage at your finish point.

4. Validation: Brevet cards must be returned to the organiser within 14 days of the ride. (In the case of the dart to Melrose they may be handed to the organiser at the hotel). Completed distance must be within 20% of the agreed distance at entry and ride will be validated on the minimum distance between controls.

5. Entry procedure: You should enter the event in the usual way via the AUK website or by post. If you enter online, email the organiser with your list of controls and proposed distance plus the date you wish to ride. If entering by post please include your list of controls. Brevet cards will be posted to you ahead of the ride.
