Paris and Moscow in the Spring

Description

206km cycling event starting from Wadsley, North Sheffield. Controls at Olive Tree Cafe, Totties Garden Centre, Mirfield, Scholes, Saltaire and Wadsley Church Hall., plus 7 information controls.

Paris and Moscow, West Yorkshire, that is, both passed on this loop through the green belt surrounding the West Yorkshire industrial belt. Possible café stops in the first half then excellent refreshments at the end.

Hilly outward leg heads through 'Summer Wine' country and the Pennine foothills to the model industrial village of Saltaire. Then turn eastwards into flatter country south of York, before the South Yorkshire ridges provide a sting in the tail.
