Description

A scenic route mainly on quiet lanes in North Northumberland. A shorter option with less climbing than the 200km. It's not flat but most of the climbing is gradual. Ideal for a first Audax
The route passes Alnwick, Chillingham, Etal and Bamburgh Castles. There's also several more you can see with very short diversions if you really want to. It's about as flat as I can make a decent 100km+ ride in North Northumberland. It's a good social/first Audax.
Event is currently planned as a roadside start with finish arrangements to be decided, it may be a postal finish, this is subject to Covid and everything else.
There are options to stop at Cafes or shops along the route if you choose to do so.
