Description

A new Scottish 'coast to coast' for 2024. Controls at Dalkeith, Innerleithen, Gretna Services, Johnstonebridge Services plus four info controls.
A new Scottish 'coast to coast' for 2024. Starting outside Edinburgh (24h free parking, food outlets and toilets) with a flat run to and along the Firth of Forth at Longniddry, before heading inland through agricultural East Lothian and into the Southern Uplands to Innerleithen then up and over the Yarrow and Ettrick Valleys to Dumfries and Galloway and a pit stop at Gretna Services, before a cruise along the Solway coast to Annan. The Route then turns North calling at Johnstonebridge Services to refuel before the lonely but beautiful (largely downhill) run to the finish over the beeftub and back into Midlothian via West Linton moor. The route does cover some fairly remote stretches, particularly between Innerleithen and Gretna, and again from Moffat to West Linton, so keep this in mind.
