Description

A challenging 208km mixed surface tour of spectacular Highland Perthshire featuring almost 60km of the regions best gravel riding and many of its best back roads.
Boulder Dash will run in an anticlockwise direction for 2025 and includes a new section through the picturesque Glenearn Estate. The pristine gravel roads of Glen Almond (22km) and Glen Artney (10km) are again traversed as is the stunning Glen Ogle section of NCR7. Click on the blue organisers website button for a link to the provisional event route in Ride with GPS.

The event HQ will be located at the Auchtermuchty Community Centre with a checkpoint (with full re-supply for riders) at Newton Bridge (54km) and free controls in Killin (93km) and Callander (129km). There are numerous other opportunities to re-supply in the second half of the route.

Riders can validate their ride electronically using the popular E-brevet app or with a physical brevet card.

The route is best suited to a drop bar machine with clearance for a minimum of 35c reasonably fast rolling gravel tyres. The vast majority of the off-road riding is on gravel estate roads, largely compact but rough in places. There is very little chance of encountering much mud. The route includes a few steep climbs and descents both on and off-road, however most of the climbing and descending is straightforward. See the Ride with GPS link for more detailed information on surfaces and gradients.

Hot food and drinks at the finish and a range of re-supply options at the Newton Bridge checkpoint included in the entry fee.
