Description

A wonderful vista packed ride from Nantwich, passing through Much Wenlock, Bewdley, Ledbury, Ludlow and Shrewsbury
An extended version of the Wenlock Edge 200km that heads due south after Brossley and takes you to the historic town of Ledbury with it's magnificent black and white timber framed market house, just outside the Malvern Hills using a scenic route that passes through Bridgnorth and Bewdley. After refuelling in Ledbury you head north and pass through Tenbury Wells and Ludlow to get yourself back on the Wenlock Edge 200km route at Craven Arms, from here you rejoin the route just in time for a 25km uphill section which then leads to a 15km descent to Shrewsbury then a final straightforward 50km to Nantwich. The common section with the Wenlock Edge 200km event includes some wonderful places on the way out including the rock cutting at Bishops Offley, passing through the grounds of Lilleshall Hall and Coalport. The route out is continually rolling, the route back is mainly uphill to Shrewsbury then the last 50km is flat. There are a few free AAA points provided for all finishers.
