Description

Join CTC Cambridge on a day out with some quiet roads and unexpected snickets that might surprise even the most local of riders.
Starting in Haslingfield (nearby stations include Cambridge, Foxton on the King's Cross line, or Whittlesford on the Liverpool Street line), we tackle Chapel Hill first and head out to Hertfordshire. It's probably too soon to resupply in Ashwell, so we carry onto Baldock. So long as you're happy with an ice-cream or one of the eight options on the menu, The Silver Ball at Reed will cater to your every deep-fried need. An easy drop down to pretty Braughing, we then wind our way through the Pelhams and onto Clavering, past the pub where Jamie Oliver earned his whatever-it-is-that-celebrity-chefs-earn. Two more notable climbs before we drop down back into Haslingfield, where we'll have the kettle on and food waiting.

This being Cambridge, there'll be chelsea buns for all! Who said CTC stood for cafe-to-cafe or cake-to-cake?!
