Description
Head off towards the ancient cantref of Ferlix, north of Hay via The Marches. This time the route runs in reverse anticlockwise with Knighton as your first port of call. after crossing The Marches. From there, youll venture into a remote and sparsely populated landscape before reaching Hay. En route, youll cross the rarely audaxed Begwyn Hills, a true hidden gem for longdistance riders. If you are lucky, you may see some sheep.
From Hay, with its caketastic cafés providing wellearned refuelling, the ride heads for Ludlow, before ascending the side of Clee Hill.
This Droitwich CC audax event is Xrated, meaning there are no staffed controls enroute except at the start. EBrevet will be available.
️ Warning: This is a challenging ride with numerous steep climbs and steep descents. Your bike will need to be in top condition and so will your legs. A high level of fitness and endurance is essential for the 212km route and 3,000m of ascent.
