Description

Head off towards the ancient cantref of Ferlix, north of Hay via The Marches. This time the route runs in reverse — anticlockwise — with Knighton as your first port of call. after crossing The Marches. From there, you’ll venture into a remote and sparsely populated landscape before reaching Hay. En route, you’ll cross the rarely audaxed Begwyn Hills, a true hidden gem for long-distance riders. If you are lucky, you may see some sheep.

From Hay, with its caketastic cafés providing well-earned refuelling, the ride continues towards Leominster before rejoining the Teme Valley at Tenbury for the final, leg-testing kilometres back to Stourport.

This Droitwich CC audax event is X-rated, meaning there are no staffed controls en-route except at the start. E-Brevet will be available.

⚠️ Warning: This is a challenging ride with numerous climbs and steep descents. Your bike will need to be in top condition — and so will your legs. A high level of fitness and endurance is essential for the 205km route and 3,200m of ascent.
