Join CTC Cambridge for a brand-new 300km route (actual distance 315km or 195 miles). Starting at just after midnight at Cambridge central train station, it's a fast run out to Swaffham 24 hour McDonald's at 77km (passing close to Barton Mills McDonald's on the way). We then set off to see the sea at Southwold to control at the pier at 165km. Bonus points for any full value riders who come back with a selfie from the fabulous Under The Pier arcade machines. Coffee at Southwold Co-op, which opens at 6am. Then lovely Suffolk lanes to Lavenham at 250km for refreshments. The finish is in Haslingfield, where a sumptuous tea awaits.
Easy access to Cambridge central train station from London Kings Cross, London Liverpool Street and Ely; 00.15am start timed for trains. The Arrivee is Haslingfield Methodist Church, as easy cycle back to Cambridge central train station. For those driving, best park at Trumpington Park and Ride just off the M11 (charge for 18+ hours - more info nearer the time) or in Haslingfield in streets near the Methodist church.
