Description
Back for it's second year. A challenging 308km loop around some of the best (hilliest) bits of north west England. There is lots of climbing and fantastic descending so you'll certainly be earning the 5.25 AAA points available but there are plenty of places to get refreshments on the way though! Controls are commercial and e-brevet is available. Don't forget a distinctive sew on badge is included in the entry price.
A 07:30 start from Caton Co-op (it opens at 7am), out to the coast at Silverdale Co-op before turning back inland to Bentham Co-op. From there you can stop at Ingleton Co-op if you wish but its not a control, instead there is an info at Kingsdale Head Farm. On then to Kirkby Stephen Co-op via Dent before a call at Tan Hill Inn on the way to Richmond Co-op. From there it's an info at Lofthouse before two more Co-ops at Silsden and Barnoldswick before returning to Caton Co-op. Event badge included in entry price.
Caton is easy to get to, being just 8km from Lancaster which is situated on the West Coast Mainline and adjacent to the M6 motorway. There are a number of budget hotels in the area.
