An East Midlands loop taking in some of the hills and vales of east Derbyshire and south Nottinghamshire, mainly following lanes and quiet country roads and a couple of stretches of gravel, and with the added bonus of riding past 10 Downing Street Sutton in Ashfield style
Route heads out across Beeley Moor and along the ridge road towards Crich, southeast to Long Eaton and over the River Trent, then then east into the flatter land of the Vale of Belvoir for a view of the Duke of Rutlands imposing castle. Return north through the fields, woods, towns and villages of D.H. Lawrence country.
