Description

Special addition to the Trooper Series celebrating International Women's Day 2026. This ride is not limited to women, all are welcome!

Starting from our usual spot in Tadpole Garden Village, Swindon, riders will venture northwards through the Saxon village of Cricklade before entering the beautiful Cotswolds AONB heading towards Charlton Kings, a village on the eastern edge of Cheltenham. Here you'll find Moosh, a cosy café serving up great coffee (if you prefer, there's a local Co-op just next door). From here you'll head east navigating your way along some of the more challenging parts of the route to the picturesque Cotswold villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter. Our route passes through the best looking, Lower Slaughter, with its quaint houses lining the tranquil River Eye. A few short kilometres later you'll be at Bourton-on-the-Water for a FREE control. We recommend Bakery on the Water for a coffee and bite to eat but there are lots of options lining the river. Leaving the control you head due south where once you've exited the Cotswolds AONB, you're rewarded with a gradual descent back to Tadpole Garden Village.

A fairly challenging ride, starting in Tadpole Garden Village, 2 controls and some lovely villages.

- The start is an outdoor public space
- There is no parking (on street is available)
- There are no toilet facilities provided
- Mudguards are not mandatory but recommended
- The route sheet should be read by all riders as it may contain information on optional supplies stops, road types and surface conditions
