Description

Starting South of Norwich at the Trowse Manor Rooms { Parking nearby £6 } with a light breakfast. This is a Tour of the Norfolk Broads so more or less flat other than the bridges there are only a couple of lumps. Heading south to cross the 1st river in Loddon , On to near Bungay for the 2nd river and then turn north for a ferry ride at Reedham 3rd river (which costs £1), and on to Acle) at 60 kms, now may be time for a shop stop to refuel. Acle bridge next and the 4th river pan flat here as you are in the heart of Broadland, The route continues north to Potter Heigham 5th river , Then west through Ludham and Ludham bridge 6th river and Hoveton, Turning south through Wroxham 7th river , Woodbastwick, Salhouse to the control at Brundall. The ride back into Norwich uses a bike path to cross the A47 slip road, Past Norwich City football ground over the 8th and last river , Finally back at the Manor room where we will have well earned refreshments waiting for you. Mostly on quiet charming country lanes but with a few sections of busier road. Please come and join us!
