Description

This is the permanent version of the former calendar event. Validation by GPS and E-Brevet only(11 E-Brevet controls!), can be started at any point on the route but the better start locations would be Matlock Bath, Macclesfield or Parsley Hay. An arduous ride around the Peaks, taking in some of the long off road cycle paths, including the Monsal and Manifold valley trails, great views with lots of climbing and off road sections, probably best ridden on a gravel bike, but it has been ridden on road bikes with 25mm tyres. There's about 4000m of climbing in 160km and over 40km is on old railway trails(flat and hard packed), are you up for the challenge? Full route map on the organiser website link>>>

The control locations pinned on the map top right, are the exact locations of the E-Brevet controls and your phone app will work within 250m of those pinned locations. These locations are also described in the route sheet, which can be downloaded below. There are 11 E-Brevet controls, so it maybe that GPS is a better option for this ride, just email me your track after the ride.
