Description

A shortened version of the longest-established Clasic Welsh brevet.

Fancy a crack at the Brevet Cymru, but 400km is just too much - why not do the 200km version? Follows the same route to Builth Wells before dropping down to Brecon to pick up the Brevet Cymru route back to Chepstow.

At only 2,600m of climbing, it is still a little lumpy but presents a manageable challenge.

The following are a few highlights to enjoy along the route.

a) Riding along the Wye River.
b) Pass through Monnow Gate and Bridge, a historic site in Monmouth. It is the only remaining medieval fortified river bridge in Great Britain, with its gate tower still standing in place.
c) Pass Grosmont Castle.
d) Enjoy the beautiful stretch of woodland towards Erwood Station.
e) Enjoy the tough, long climb out of Builth Wells & the stunning scenery.
f) Ride a short stretch of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal (alt road route available).

Free controls on the route.

E-Brevet is available for this event.
