214km cycling event starting from Severn View Services, Aust, Bristol. Controls at Hay-On-Wye, Nr Llandeilo Gaban, Abergavenny and Aust., plus 4 information controls.

You can use E-Brevet proof of passage on this event.

Back for 2024 a 214k Severn Bridge Series GOLD GRIMPEUR AAA event.

Includes free finishers' rectangular route map patch for all riders.

A great days riding in Wales, with a few AAA points for your efforts.

Taking inspiration from the 10 Peaks Audacious Challenge (The hilliest 200km in the calendar that runs in July) - A flatter route exploring the same locations with 1000m less climbing.

You will explore Tintern and the Wye Valley before more climbing and fine views to take you near Devauden before a flat(ish) section to Abergavenny.

Next, you will head close to Longtown Castle after more climbing with the opportunity to rest up at the Village Store.

More climbing follows to get you to Hay on Wye and then you'll ride the lumpy, remote but beautiful sections Northwards where you will then start the return leg.

You will then follow a valley with the stunning River Edw by your side before stopping for refreshments at Erwood Station & Café.

Yet more climbs follow with a big ascent in Hay on Wye including Gospel Pass via the little-known or used steep side lane.

Next back to Abergavenny and then back to Devauden.

Devauden will serve you up its devilish Star Hill just to finish those tired legs off.

All the hard work is then done and you have an easy descent with views of the Severn Bridge and then a flat section to bring you back to Chepstow.

Mostly quiet lanes and minor roads with easy navigation.
