62km cycling event starting from Nantwich. Controls at Malpas and Nantwich., plus 1 information control.

An pleasant introductory audax visiting the cafe at Alderford Lake and the ancient market town of Malpas and passing the grounds of Cholmondely Castle.

The route is relatively flat though there are some climbs to overcome. To get to Whitchurch you have to go over Wirswall Bank, Malpas is situated higher than the surrounding countryside so you have some work to do to get to it, once you've left Malpas you loose some height only to have to regain it after you've crossed the A41. After each of the climbs is a downhill, other than that it is generally flat. Alderford Lake is an outdoor swimming location so there is usually plenty of interesting things going on and good food and great cake to be had at the cafe. Malpas is an historic border market town which has shops and cafe's for you to refuel for the final leg. There is a generous 12.5km/h lower speed allowance so you have just short of five full hous to get around meaning you can really enjoy your day out.
