NEW FOR 2024
A useful and pleasant midseason 200km event with AAA points for those completing an RRTY or AAARRTY.
Controls at Appletreewick, Bolton Castle, Ribblehead viaduct, Barnoldswick, Todmorden.
The route is designed to take you past the three peaks on some quieter roads and some of the incredible falls the Dales has to offer, including Aysgarth Falls, Middle Falls and the Falls at Cray. After this, it's onto Castle Bolton, where there is a cafe, or you can push on to Hawes at half distance where there are a variety of options for refreshments, before the climb out to Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
After this, it's three Peaks country. There's an info control at Ribblehead Viaduct, so you can take in the views, before making your way back south through Ribblesdale, with a few pub options along the route.
The route then meanders through some of the quieter lanes before heading through Barnoldswick, lots of options for a free control, then it's onto the three Fords, followed by the beautiful, yet often over looked, Cliviger gorge, before a 10km downhill to Todmorden with one final info control at Todmorden, before the flat run back to Barbarys.

Although it's hilly, there is nothing too steep, with the route avoiding the most challenging climbs in the area, that said, be prepared for a descent amount of climbing, but nothing too vicious.

Tea and coffee at the start with light breakfast options. There is Ample off-street parking all day here.
