Rookhope (Short Route)

Description

64km cycling event starting from Rookhope. Controls at Langley Dam and Rookhope., plus 1 information control.

An amended Midweek event/route starting and finishing in Rookhope. An undulating but very scenic route through the North Pennines. Note change in start/finish Location.

Note the change to the start location but the route is still the same.
Start and finish at Rookhope Village Hall (Change of plan as The Hemmel Café is currently closed for an indefinite period).
The 'short' route is very scenic and most of the climbing is gradual. There's a lot less climbing than the alternative 100km event. After the first gentle climb out of Rookhope, the next section is mainly downhill.
Café option at Langley Dam. There's a relaxed minimum speed so you can enjoy the day if you wish.
