Description
The Permanent version of the Easter Calendar Event.
Over the Snake to Lower Bradfield, before tackling some stiff climbs om the outskirts of Sheffield, to the Fox House. Route then passes through the plague village of Eyam before dropping into the Hope Valley at Castleton. Leaving Castleton we have the toughest climb of the ride up Winnats Pass, but should you be too daunted by Winnats, then there is the option to take the Old Mam Tor Road, although a couple of section will need to be walked.
Cafe options at or nearby all the controls,
The route is a mixture of A and B roads and some single track lanes, there are some steep descents with loose gravel and should ride appropriately. Riders should be aware of some remote and exposed sections, and should carry suitable clothing if early in the year.
