Description
As a self-supported endeavour, at 1400 km LEJOG isn't the longest or toughest event in the Audax world but is certainly one of the most challenging and probably one of the most memorable.
Land's End to John o'Groats (LEJOG) is the traversal of the whole length of the island of Great Britain - a long standing route from the southwestern tip to the north-eastern tip of the UK; from Cornwall through the Cotswolds; Wales; the Scottish lowlands, and finishing off in the Scottish Highlands - a windswept land of glacial lakes and an economy of trees. A succession of different terrains, architecture, and history.
No qualifications required to ride this event. Entries are now being taken on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED BASIS!
LEJOG at randonneur standard. Route doesn't follow the most direct route between the start & finish whilst passing through England; Wales & Scotland! Riders will be expected to maintain a minimum cycling average speed of 12kph including anytime off the bike. Controls will be placed at roughly 50-mile intervals but 4 of the controls, which we hope riders will use overnight, will have adequate shower & sleeping facilities. Each and every rider will need to make their own way to the start at Land's End and home from John o' Groats afterwards. More information on the event website below! Drop bag return in 2026! Last chance until 2028!
