Description
Tracing the path of England's first Saint and some notorious sinners, a simple route from St Albans to Bury St Edmunds and back.
Admin is simple, with a single control and no info quiz.
Start and finish at the Scout Hut, Sandridge near St Albans - a 15 mins train ride from central London.
We ride out through the Hertfordshire commuter towns and quickly reach rural lanes to take us into Essex and West Suffolk. The half way point, just short of Bury, is at a village hall where refreshments are provided as a joint venture with the ineffable ACME.
While a single control makes for easy admin, we STRONGLY recommend riders take on additional fuel stops, options are marked on the route sheet and GPS file at Stansted Mountfitchet (44km) and Saffron Walden (155km).
Complimentary refreshments provided and toilets available at the start/finish and midway control.
