Description
A tour of the south coast seaside towns, piers and ice cream parlours from Balham, the Gateway to the South.
Friday evening start for a trip down to Brighton getting there in time for a late night kebab alternative options are available!, then along the south coast overnight passing by Eastbourne and Hastings piers, past Rye, Hythe, Folkestone and Dover and on to Deal around dawn. From here its crossing inland up to Herne Bay and Whitstable, then its back inland to enjoy some of the lumps of the Kent Downs, the High Weald. A refuelling stop in Mayfield sets you up for the return into London, over the North Downs and rolling back into Balham for a well-deserved pint included in the entry fee.
Note: This is a X-rated event suitable for experienced randonneurs only, comfortable cycling through the night and being self-sufficient throughout.
