Description
For anyone not travelling to PBP an alternative long ride.
A revised route from previous years to hopefully give more commercial overnight opportunities, particularly on the first night. A bit more borders and not as far south.
The current plan is a roadside start in Brampton, there will be an event control at Eskdalemuir with food at 79km, youre on your own after that but there should be enough 24 hour options. Finish arrangements - Village Hall near Brampton open Monday 9am-5pm - postal finish before that.
Current plan - No drop bags, no event controls after Eskdalemuir after that as long as youre sensible there are plenty of commercial and 24 hour options for most of the route.
I may review this subject to the number of entries, if there are a lot more I may make some additional arrangements - I got the numbers completely wrong in 2026
For most people there will be some Commercial Motel options to sleep in, 24 hour services or if you wish or you can always opt to Bivvy or an Audax hotel.
Intended for anyone who wants a relatively easy unsupported 1000km.
E-brevet will be an option so it should make controls a lot easier for a basic event.
Entries will be limited and the event will close when full. Max number of riders is calculated to include an expected number of DNS and a withdrawal does not mean entries will be reopened. See Audax UK Ts and Cs
