Description
A new route for 2027
Initially the route heads South from Eskbank over the Granites to Innerleithen and onwards almost to the Solway coast before turning East towards Newcastleton and up the Ettrick Valley to Caddonfoot Near Galashiels. Food and drink in the hall here before riding south again to Boreland for the first option for sleeping. Form Boreland head over the Beeftubs to Tweedsmuir the second option for sleeping then off to Wooler via Galashiels. The route heads North here to Duns and onwards back to finish near the start in Eskbank.
Controls at: Innerleithen, Lochmaben, Newcastleton, Eskdalemuir, Caddonfoot, Boreland, Tweedsmuir, Galashiels, Wooler and Duns. Plus 3 info controls.
Food will be available at Eskadalemir, Caddonfoot, Boreland and Tweedsmuir halls as well as at the finish.
A bag drop of a single bag plus packed sleeping bag up to aprox 10kg is available for the overnight sleep tops at either Boreland or Tweedsmuir halls
