Description
New 208km Calendar Event for 2027 from Chepstow taking in 4 classic and famous Welsh mountain climbs: Caerphilly, Maerdy, Rhigos Bwlch earing 2.5 AAAs. The event starts at our Audax HQ in Upcycle, Chepstow for a lovely small breakfast hot or cold drink, next to the train station, and ample parking nearby. 2 single toilets are on site. The route tracks around the Magor flats and quieter country roads before tackling Caerphilly Mountain frequently used on the Tour of Britain, where the first of 3 well deserved earnt feed stops is located at the superb snack bar at the summit. Then the route meanders gradually uphill to Pontypridd before the triple mountain climbs and fast rewarding descents up down The Maerdy, The Rhigos The Bwlch. The return to Arrivee is a pretty flat 60km. E-Brevet is available.
