Description

Part of the Balham Wednesday Wheelers midweek series of PBP qualifiers.

A trip to Bristol and back. The route heads out of south west London, through Berkshire and Wiltshire, broadly following the route of the Kennet and Avon Canal. After Trwobridge the route passes through the Two Tunnels Greenway into Bath, then heading into Bristol and the turning point at the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The return leg follows a straighter route through Chippenham, Newbury and Reading with controls at 24hr garages, before heading back into London to drop your brevet card off at Arrivee.

This is a bare bones X-rated 400km event with all commercial controls and postal finish. It is an unsupported event suitable for experienced randonneurs only, and is aimed to provide a PBP qualifier option for those unable to make weekend events.
