Description
This is the BRM, X-rated version of the Cambridge Randonnee 300 otherwise known as the Beer and Brecks perm. The full-fat bacon and Chelsea bun version will be in June or July!
Starting at just after midnight at Cambridge central train station, its a fast run out to Swaffham 24 hour McDonalds at 77km passing close to Barton Mills McDonalds on the way. We then set off to see the sea at Southwold to control at the pier at 165km. Bonus points and free perm entry for any riders who come back with a selfie from the fabulous Under The Pier arcade machines. Coffee at Southwold Co-op, which opens at 6am. An additional control in the middle of nowhere before Stowmarket, to get the distances right. Lavenham at 250km for refreshments before we drop down back to Cambridge central railway station, where there are several food trucks open all afternoon and evening.
Easy access to Cambridge central from London Kings Cross, London Liverpool Street and Ely 00.15am start timed for trains. Parking at Trumpington Park and Ride just off the M11 £10 charge for stays longer than 18 hours. Let me know if you are ECEing and will need water at the start, and Ill bring some for you.
E-brevet available, but brevet cards for all in order to get that precious ACP number for PBP.
