Description
Midweek reprise of Restless Legs suitable for weekend workers and anybody who cant wait for the next weekend for their next Audax fix. A later start time is intended to facilitate travel to and from the event by train.
A straight forward winter event aimed at experienced randonneurs who just cant wait to get out and ride a 200km in January!. Essentially the Rain, Shine of Gale Force 9 course ridden the other direction.
The route is specifically designed to offer an event in January when the weather could be an issue. The route purposely stays away from lanes and the high ground. The route purposely joins together long sections on B roads which should be well maintained, and in the case of cold weather, gritted if required although never guaranteed of course. 80% of the route is on B roads with approx 20% on A roads no dual carriageways. This should help riders get around quickly reducing the time out in potentially poor weather and makes for straightforward navigation. Starts from a Greggs with a pub finish, three evenly spaced commercial controls and three info questions.
