Description

400 km including stretches of the Great North Road and the longest cycleable bridge in the world. An ideal flattish first 400 (the hills are all in the first quarter), or it'll do the job for PBP qualification.
Accommodation available (for a small fee) in the hall beforehand, food at the start and finish, and one full-service control en route at Skelton, plus campervan control with snacks at Scargill. This ride will be for you if you like: bridges, canals, cooling towers, mostly flat roads and lots of pretty churches.

This ride may not be for you if you don't like: village hall controls, the occasional A-road stretch but mostly quiet lanes, Yorkshire, and bridges. There are a lot of bridges.
