Description
Visit the stunning Llangollen Panorama using beautiful Cheshire lanes and Welsh foothills. A scenic route with just one significant climb
Llangollen Panorama sits up high on a limestone escarpment offering breathtaking views of Llangollen, the River Dee and the remains of Dinas Bran Castle. To get there we through pleasant Cheshire lanes and roads before crossing the border into Wales were the roads start to include some climbing. When it feels that you can't possibly keep going any higher you turn a corner, and the stunning vista is presented right in front of you. To encourage so you stop and admire the scenery we have a control location with a cake stop provided for entrants in one of the laybys. Enough cake to fuel you the next 10-15km to Chirk. In Chirk you will find cafes and a SPAR so plenty of options to refuel, from here there is a downhill to a river followed by a short climb out. After that it is a matter of following a beautifully crafted route through the best lanes in the area all the way back to the HQ. Free refreshment before and after the event included in the entry. E-Brevet and GPS available.
