Description
Roll up, roll up, and ride the Rye Rollercoaster!
A thrilling overnight ride, full of ups and downs to the south coast and across the High Weald.
The ride starts from south London at 23:00 on Friday night, enjoying the late night sights of London life. The route soon leaves London and heads into the darkness and hills of the North Downs and the High Weald. The first control is a 24h garage in Uckfield, followed by a flatish section down to the south coast arriving at around dawn. A visit to Beachy Head is followed by a blast along the sea front to Hastings and Rye. The route then heads inland, enjoying the hills of the Weald and passing through Battle, before heading back up to London for a very well deserved pint included in the price at the pub.
Please note: this is an X-rated ride with very limited facilities, suitable for experienced randonneurs only who are comfortable being self-sufficient and riding through the night.
