Description
New 200km calendar event as part of Chepstow CC Audax Hundred series same day as the 100km 300km events from Upcycle Café, next to the train station. The route takes you down the Wye Valley to Bigsweir Bridge then climbs using back roads to Staunton, followed by the long fast descent to Monmouth. You will then take the flatter well versed audax roads all the way to Talybont Post Office Stores Café for the official first Control. The route retraces itself back towards Abergavenny, then Usk and on to Caerleon for the second control. Then its the back roads past the Celtic Manor Golf course, back to Usk, Raglan and Monmouth for the last Control. Finally its back up the Wye Valley, with a final climb from Brockweir Bridge for the descending road back to Chepstow and Arrivée at The Three Tuns. 1.75 AAAs with E-Brevet available for proof of passage. Instant validation upon successful completion of the event.
