The Middle Meggie 100 is a ride that captures the very soul of Lincolnshire. Rolling out across the wide, open Flats to the east, the road stretches ahead in a ribbon of smooth tarmac and sea breeze. Soon, the land begins to rise — the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB calling you upward with its sweeping curves and big-sky views.
Thread your way through quiet country lanes, where time seems to slow and every turn reveals a new landmark or historic gem. Drop down into Nettleton, then spin into Caistor Market Square — the perfect spot for a well-earned break, surrounded by centuries of charm and the hum of fellow riders.
From Caistor, the climb begins again — steady and satisfying — leading you to the lofty heights of Fonaby Top. What follows is pure joy: a fast, flowing descent through rolling hills that carry you all the way to Swallow, where the final checkpoint awaits.
And then, one last climb — your legs burning, your heart full — before cresting the summit to a view that makes it all worthwhile: the vast North Sea glimmering on the horizon, your finish line written in light and wind.
