Description
A scenic 200k route starting at Ponteland, 7 miles NW of Newcastle and taking in mainly quiet roads and local attractions such as Sycamore Gap bring binoculars to see if any new tree is growing, parts of Hadrians Wall, the remote area around the ancient Bewcastle and Kielder Dam. Some good cafe stops at 62k, 105k and 160km with hot food and drinks at the finish in Merton Hall, Ponteland.
