Description
This year we are hoping to welcome 50% of riders being women. If you are a woman thinking of entering, there is a womens representative Yasmin who will be able to help with any questions you may have, or help with pairing up with a buddy.
Another fun edition and delightful outing to explore the traffic free greenways Cole Green Way, Alban Way, Nickey Line, and Ayot Greenway. This time you get to go round in a clockwise direction. Tackles 45km of the old disused railways, combined with quiet lanes, Wetherspoons start, cafe options en route, pub finish, and low minimum speed makes for a fun and different day out. Easy access by train from Cambridge or London or anywhere on East Coast mainline. This year, due to when it is running, theres likely to be a superb bluebell display towards the end.
Start / finish at the Wetherspoons, Old Town. Options to buy a breakfast at start, hot food and drinks or beer on finishing as desired. Instant validation at finish.
If you come by train, station is 2km from start / finish, and a gpx track will be provided to get you to the start and from the finish. Parking is also nearby if you come by car.
Note this event includes much of the route on traffic free greenways and some off road with variable gravel / compacted earth surfaces. It has been ridden on road bikes, tandems, recumbents, Brompton etc. but be aware its not a pure road route.
Note xrated, commercial controls and infos. Ebrevet as well if you prefer to register at control locations with your smartphone.
