100km cycling event starting from Carlton Colville, nr Lowestoft, Suffolk. Controls at Loddon and Carlton Colville., plus 2 information controls.
This ride initially goes through many narrow, quiet and pretty lanes through the Waveney valley taking in quiet and picturesque villages. If you perceive all East Anglia as completely flat, you might be surprised

how undulating the Waveney valley is. That said, the hills are short and hardly major feats but you might be a little surprised by the steepness of one or two of them. There are some surprisingly nice views from the top of the hills. After leaving the Waveney valley the route crosses into south Norfolk, which is flatter but sill through pleasant lanes and villages. The control at Loddon is opposite the river and is pleasant. After the second information control it is back into Suffolk and the district of Waveney just west of the pleasant market town of Beccles.
