Description

A clockwise route around the area of the old Border Marches. If you want great scenery, very quiet roads and some good cafe stops this ticks all the boxes.
Start and finish in Alnwick, probably start at McD's, finish arrangements to be confirmed but it may be a postal finish for some (my current plan is to ride it - I'm working on finish arrangements). It's not a flat route but other than the lumpy bit between Newcastleton and Eskdalemuir the rest of the climbing is generally not too bad. Lots of comments last year about the lack of traffic and stunning scenery, likely to be popular. The route is advisory. Note there aren't lots of controls but there are lots of extra places to get food eg Morpath, Bellingham, Newcastleton, Selkirk, Wooler, optional if you want to stop.
