Description

Welcome to the new look Shropshire Hourglass. We have a new start/finish location, new superb cafe control in Shrewsbury and an updated route where we get the hills out of the way in the first half.
Initially we head south for some views and a little elevation, skirting the Shropshire hills, to Ludlow along the foot of the Wenlock Edge with beautiful views across the valley and the well stocked Applegreen garage for breakfast (Subway also on site). Suitably refuelled you will then enjoy the climb of the day to get to Bishops Castle and then north back towards Shrewsbury to Cafe Refresh located within the beautiful Severn Hospice grounds for lunch. We then continue north in a flat clockwise loop to Ellesmere, Market Drayton and finally back to Upton Magna village hall for refreshments including our popular vegan chilli.

Online entry and e-brevet available. GPS and routesheets supplied.

Village Hall start with free parking, toilets, tea and toast at the start. Refreshments at the Arrivee including cake, biscuits and our popular vegan chilli.

Plenty of food options and toilets en-route, full details to be provided to all entrants with the riders notes.

This event to be run alongside a 100k route. All rides available to non-Audax members so why not bring a friend to experience the joys of Audax!
