Description

Inaugural ride of the 4 ride The Trooper series. This is an introductory level Audax ride exploring the quiet roads to the North of Swindon, entering the beautiful Cotswolds AONB for a welcome stop at Fire & Flow Coffee Roastery where you can purchase a barista made coffee and/or bite to eat or if you don't want to stop, pick up a stamp. Mostly flat but there is a steep hill both to and from where the control point is.
Nothing too difficult, starting in Tadpole Garden Village, 2 info controls and a coffee stop!
Please note:
- This is a shoestring event so few facilities are provided
- There is no parking (on street is available)
- There are no toilet facilities provided
- The right turn as you enter Latton that takes you over the A419 can be a little easy to miss. Notably there is a vehicle speed display on a telegraph pole at the junction. The road itself is a normal tarmac road but marked no access on the gate. Bicycles and pedestrians are permitted use.
