Description

There is a slight change this year in that Mill Meece is being run in April a month later than in previous seasons. The route for the Mill Meece Century takes riders through picturesque countryside, showcasing the scenic beauty of rural England. Participants can expect a mix of rolling hills, quiet roads and charming villages.

A 100 mile fairly flat trip to Staffordshire and back with a couple of testing climbs around Silverdale & a bit of a push up the Birtles on the return to Poynton.

The route passes the beautiful historic Mill Meece pumping station which is well worth pausing to take a look at.

Starting from Poynton Methodist Church where you'll receive a warm welcome & a cup of tea or coffee.

On your return there will be hot drinks & light refreshments & the opportunity to tarry a while, relax & chat with the riders from the other events before traveling home.

Mill meece 150 is run alongside the Budwoths 100 and a new 50K event called the Ice Cream Sunday.

There is pay as you go parking via the Ringo app at the start and Poynton train station is 2K from the start. There is a travel lodge at Adlington and camping / caravan site called Elm Beds 3K away.
