Description

From Caton (nr Lancaster) ride over the Trough of Bowland then, via Downham, cross the shoulder of Pendle Hill and thru Blacko to Colne. On to Ribchester then climb Jeffrey Hill to Chipping before turning for the first crossing of your route nr Newton. Pass thru Gisburn Forest onto Ribbleshead Viaduct then turn for to Settle. Back to Caton and the second route crossing nr Keasden. Apart from short sections thru Colne and Settle the route is along quiet roads with limited opportunity for refreshments and there is lots of climbing. An editable routesheet and GPS link will be available after entry. Travel in either direction and start at any control or anywhere along the route using GPS or eBrevet.
